Her doubts are always second hand
Her smile is just a frown
The shadow is her only friend
The upside is her down

She lost her heart but not her head
And she will lose much more
If she starts to turn around
All dressed up in regrets

She won’t walk no more
She’s on the floor
But will always try to run
It breaks my heart
To witness her
Life being left undone

She’s making bets with debts
Painting love with hatred
Where she’s from is long forgotten
Where she goes, she will forget

Too rich for just a single dream
Too poor for just one memory
Her life is stainless
Her life is clean
An uncoloured scene

There she is so young and pretty
Carrying a bag of dead illusions
The weight is pulling her to the floor
And she’s looking for a solution

Standing outside there
She’s facing the moon
She turns around with a grin
I look at her and she looks at me
She says „The moon is you“

She won’t walk no more
She’s on the floor
But will always try to run
It breaks my heart
To witness her
Life being left undone
