On The Run

I remember when I was young
Just a little boy playing in the sun
Trying to sail the world under his flag

And all I wanted was love and fun
But a normal life just couldn't give me none
That’s when I heard about living on the road

Well I had no questions, just like that
Ready to leave I packed my back
And opened up a world so new to me

I took a guitar and learned to play
Wrote some songs and went my way
Trying to find a friend to join my band

I knew that you would come with me
For there’s a lot of mystery
Living life out there on the run

And you had no questions, just like that
Ready to leave you packed your back
Running to a world you want to see

Ch:
Oh we're living fast
And we'll be dying young
Got no future and our past’s already gone
Well you got to believe me
It has always been my dream
That’s the kind of life I chose to live

I don’t mind, I don’t care
Let them people look and stare
Just because my ambition ain’t too high

Cause playing in a Honky Tonk
In a dead end street or wherever I want
Is all I ever hoped to get for me

Here we are out on the run
Just music, love and having fun
And sometimes chasing trouble as it seems

Ch:
Oh we're living fast
And we'll be dying young
Got no future and our past’s already gone
Well you got to believe me
It has always been my dream
That’s the kind of life I chose to live
